New in 2025! Galipette Cidre BRUT
GALIPETTE BRUT is where it all began, our first cider. Slow fermented for medium strength, it has a lovely harmony of earthy aromas and vibrant tastes. The unique assemblage balances all four styles of cider apple: bitter, bitter-sweet, sweet, and sharp, in varieties such as Marie Ménard, Kermerrien and Judor. They come from traditional apple orchards near the river Rance in northern Brittany’s Côtes-d’Armor; this is a cider true to its roots, and ours. Delightfully dry to medium-dry, it strikes a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, dryness and sweetness, and between ciders old and new. Sparkling bright orange color, nose is full apple aroma with generous fruitiness. Taste is soft & luscious, rich apple, earthy fruit tannins.
Galipette Biologique (Organic) & Extra Brut
Two from Galipette family we launched in 2024 and continue to offer in 2025 due to popularity! From the Northwest (home in Normandy and Brittany). Galipette ciders are ‘pur jus’, made from 100% fermented apple juice and never from concentrate, following the character of the fruit and wild, slow fermentation, with minimal intervention. Organic cuvée, made from 100% organic cider apples with exciting wildflower character, light fermentation preserves the natural floral aromas and yields a lower alcohol level. Fresh apple aroma with floral notes on the nose. Taste is semi-Dry, fruity and floral, balanced acidity and light bitterness. Color is bright and sparkling, medium amber. Extra Brut Cuvée du Maître de Chai, or Cellar Master's blend, uses up to fifteen varieties native to the orchards of Brittany such as Marie Ménard, Dous Moën and Bedan, which give the perfect character, color and balance. The extra-long fermentation here isn’t the fastest way to make cider, but it naturally preserves structure and length of taste, with a higher alcohol level. Rich and indulgent nose, rich phenolics. Taste is intense spicy botanicals, bitter chocolate tannins and color is deep burnished gold.
